Hi Gordon,

I would like to thank you for providing a term of inspirational coaching for pupils and teachers alike. The work you did with the pupils was challenging and innovative and gave teachers a fresh insight into how to teach P.E., building up core skills, developing potential and energising children in a new and exciting way. Each lesson in the course demonstrated clear progression and encouraged pupils to utilise techniques and skills learnt in prior sessions. You are unfailingly cheerful and enthusiastic and I especially liked the way that you quickly got to know the children and used this knowledge to draw the best out of them. The teachers particularly liked the traffic light and end of session games and your demonstrations of new concepts. Everyone looked forward to your lessons and parents have given the school very positive feedback saying that children have been practising their new skills at home.

The teachers found the ideas you gave them easy to teach whilst providing every child with the opportunity to grow and shine and it is testimony to skills and enthusiasm that children are still talking excitedly about the lesson a week later!

Thank you so much for all your support and help; we are thrilled to bits that you have come back to work with different classes this term. The feedback has already been amazingly positive.

Gordon is an exceptional coach, a valued member of our school community and somebody who has encouraged many children to enjoy and develop across many different sports. Pupils look forward to and are fully engaged by his activities. Gordon is an expert at supporting learners to develop their own skills across sports, helping them to spot ways to improve and apply them. He positively coaches and promotes a love of sport as well as the skills needed to improve as sports people.

Gordon Fearn is an experienced, skilled and professional coach who is passionate about improving children’s skills in sport. He has worked as a coach at Blessed Robert Widmerpool for a number of years, teaching multi-skills, table tennis, football and a range of other sports.

With a down to earth manner and fantastic rapport with all of the children he coaches, he has helped to improve children’s skills in so many areas. He understands how to motivate all children and helps them to develop and grow a love for sport. Gordon has also been a valuable source of training and CPD to all of the staff at Blessed Robert Widmerpool and is an asset to the team.

Hi Gordon,

I just wanted to thank you for the real impact you have made to PE and sport at Westdale. Teachers have been so well supported in their delivery of the PE curriculum. Through your supportive approach and feedback, standards in PE at Westdale have risen considerably. You have been a pleasure to work with and have developed positive relationships with staff and pupils alike. They so look forward to 'Gordon Day'!

Your coaching of pupils has been exemplary and I have watched children blossom. Your behaviour management with very young children is impressive along with your ability to support children with some very significant needs.

You have brought exciting and interesting activities and games with have kept the children engaged whilst developing the physical skills needed for the foundations of most sports.

Gordon started working at Westglade Primary School in Sept 2017. He has built up excellent relationships with the children His lessons have been well planned, exciting and fun. Westglade pupils have certainly become confident movers with Gordon promoting fundamental movement across school. It's always great to see energised children leaving Gordon's PE lessons with a smile.
