Support to Coaches

"Many thanks for inviting me to be the IV for your Multi Skills level 2 qualification. I attended part of the 1st day and all of the assessment day and have attached my report to this email. For a 1st course I must admit i was very impressed with the general organisation, the venue and the delivery & assessment. In particular the tutor/assessor (Gordon Fearn) was able to deliver and assess the course very effectively even though there was an overload of work on the assessment day.

The course well run and I believe the external verifier was also impressed. I made a few minor suggestions to Gordon during our discussions and he was happy to work with me on these.

My thanks again for the invitation to verify the course."

Kind Regards

I consider myself very lucky to have had Gordon Fearn as my mentor on the NCC Coaches Programme 2009. I learnt more from him in that year than anyone else in the years I have been coaching.

As a mentor he was very patient and made me question everything I did and come up with my own ideas of how to improve rather than just tell me what to do, which was an invaluable lesson.

Observing Gordon with a group or class of children was fascinating. He came up with all sorts of games and activities to promote the fundamentals of sport. Gordon made sure all the children were involved and adapted sessions to suit all ages and abilities. I was amazed by the way could point out children with potential for different sports within a few minutes of watching them playing different games and performing tasks.

I cannot praise Gordon enough he is a very talented coach with bags of enthusiasm and ability.
